Motorola announced the Motorola Edge 30 (26). But it didn’t take long and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) approved the intermediate cell phone with a 144 Hz screen and a triple 50 MP camera on the same day of launch. The smartphone should start to be marketed soon in Brazil.
The certification is intended for cell phone model XT2203-1. The code, linked to the Motorola Edge 30, also appeared on the phone approved by the agency equivalent to Anatel in the United Arab Emirates. The technical compliance certificate mentions two manufacturing units, one in Jaguariúna (SP) and another in China.
“The phone must be supplied with a compatible battery and charger, duly approved by Anatel”, says the document.
Motorola Edge 30 has two 50 MP cameras
The Motorola Edge 30 is the newest cell phone from Motorola. Announced this Wednesday (27) , the launch draws attention due to the triple photographic set with two 50 megapixel cameras. Another highlight is the 32-megapixel front camera, for selfies and video calls.
Another point that attracts the spotlight is the 6.5-inch screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. In the datasheet, the consumer has Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB. But the battery only has 4,020 mAh, notably less capacity than the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, which has 4,800 mAh.
The Motorola Edge 30 will hit stores in Europe for 449.99 euros, around R$2,285 in direct conversion . According to Motorola, the smartphone will be available in “selected markets in Asia, Australia, India, Latin America and the Middle East in the coming weeks”.
The Motorola Edge 30 will use Qualcomm’s unprecedented Snapdragon 778G Plus processor with a clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz. Bringing 8 GB of RAM, the model still offers options of 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.
The device debuts with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 10-bit color depth and HDR10+ support. For enhanced gaming performance and smoother navigation between menus and apps, the display has a 144 Hz refresh rate.
The highlight of the Edge 30 is the triple rear camera formed by a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor with a 114º field of view and macro function, and a 2 MP auxiliary unit for depth data. The front camera for selfies uses a 32 MP sensor.
Among the features, the device has 5G connection, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, biometric sensor on the side and Dolby Atmos stereo sound. Furthermore, the model is equipped with a 4,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Possible price of Edge 30
During the announcement of the Edge 30 last Wednesday (27), it was revealed that the mid-range model will debut in Europe with a suggested price of 450 euros. The value can be converted into something around R$ 2,350 at the current price, without adding taxes.
It is worth mentioning that the predecessor Edge 20 arrived in Brazil for R$ 3,999. Therefore, it is possible that the brand will adopt a similar price range for this year’s launch.
